In 2011, the architecture firm Kathy was working for had it's third lay off in two years and Kathy was one to be let go. She started to put her energy and time into the Etsy shop that she had started a couple of years previously. She spent more time sketching and creating, which provided some relaxation in a stressful time. She enjoyed coming up with creative ways to use her sketches, connecting with local Etsy sellers, as well as starting to think of ways to make architecture fun for kids.
Today, she's back working in a firm full time, but has come to value the community she found on Etsy and the creative outlet having her shop provides. Her local Etsy team has crafts shows and online teams provide fun ways to promote each others shops. Being inspired by the talent found at Etsy is worth its weight in gold.
Kathy is accustomed to working with people to help them figure out what they want, whether it is a custom home, or a sketch of the home they love. Talk to her today about what your dreams are...
