Announcement
Welcome to VintageGoodesShop! We are vintage resellers of some really great, unusual, rare and interesting things that we find in our journeys throughout the regional Southeastern portions of the United States. We try, very hard, to be sure that all of our pieces are well described, properly aged (to our ability to figure the age of something out .... sometimes stuff is obviously old but simply too rare to date properly), and in good general shape. We will always be open and up front about the condition of any item we sell.
You may have noticed the picture in our banner? That "shack" that some of you have asked about is in our backyard ... "Bubba's Bait & Tackle" was built years ago and is, in fact, our storage shed. But it sure looks and feels like a piece of history and we thought it would be great to share some of our Georgia down home country feel with y'all!!
We hope you enjoy our shop, and that you make us a favorite of yours! We will keep our listings updated and fresh, so there will always be new things to check out!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

5 out of 5 starsThis dress was so pretty! It looks even better in person. For a vintage fit I was scared it wouldn’t work but she fit nicely. Thank you!

5 out of 5 starsThe shop owner was very quick to respond to me, and I was ordering this in a rush for a dance, so it was much appreciated!! There was only one small thread coming out and small light staining towards the bottom. It just showed that it was pre-loved, nothing too bad. For the price of the dress it was quite a cool find. I'm an advocate for ethical fashion, so I was quite excited to bring this dress into the modern time period. I love 70's fashion, but I am quite thin. Thus, I had this dress altered to fit me, and I know I will be the only girl wearing it!

Sizing details
All clothing items list measurements in inches, and I am happy to provide additional measurements when requested. Measurements provided are of the GARMENT, not of the person it is meant to fit.
If a garment has a size tag, I will disclose it. Vintage sizes vary GREATLY from modern day sizing and I strongly recommend that you have a tape measure and determine your measurements. It will be invaluable and prevent you from purchasing an item that doesn't fit the way you would like it to. You may also wish to compare the measurements of the item to the size chart of a brand whose items fit you well
Care instructions
I do not always list care instructions for my items. However, laundering advise is provided for hand-dyed items.
Most vintage dishes should NOT be put in a dishwasher, as it will destroy their finishes.
Vintage clothing care varies greatly depending on the item.
My clothing and linen items are either a) washed in an automatic washing machine, or b) hand-washed or c) dry cleaned.
If an item came to me with its original tags on it, I may remove them to launder the item. Others may be aired out, and if there are any obvious issues I will note them in the item details.
Home Environment
My home is a non-smoking home, and very pet-friendly. We have two dogs, both of which are low-shedding and fairly hypo-allergenic. Once cloth items have been laundered, they are placed into plastic clothing bags and stored in lidded bins.
I often do not know the history of items coming to me. Some "vintage" or "thrift store" odors can be pervasive, especially to people with a sensitive sense of smell.
Common smells that vintage sellers encounter may be things like mold, mothballs, smoke, musty basement, animal odors, or plain old "sitting in the attic for 30 years" smells.
Any known odors will be disclosed in a listing, though typically I will not list items that I know to have an issue (unless it is deadstock or very desirable).
Origin of Items
The items in my shop are sourced from a variety of outlets. Wholesale vintage sellers, thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales, even other online shops. I rarely get to know about the life my items had before they came to me.
Discounts
I do not offer discounts, but I do run sales on occasion, especially around common holidays. Please keep an eye out for them! If you follow my shop, you will see Shop Updates when I am beginning a sale.
Return Requests
I generally do not accept returns, however, I may consider it under certain conditions as long as a return request is received within 7 days of delivery. Original and return shipping costs are not refunded. Please always feel free to reach out to me with any problems or questions that I may be able to help resolve!
