So, I listened and I quit my part time job to "create" full time! I was the Confirmation Coordinator at a large parish. I taught about 200+ kids about God, the Sacrament of Confirmation and the Catholic faith and how to live it! I am also a certified art teacher who had been making glass beads (and selling online) for about 15 years. However, I felt the Holy Spirit was calling me to paint! Paint what? Well, since God gave me this gift of creativity, I believe He desires me to go on and continue to teach the faith but in a different manner. Therefore, the angels and saints, their stories and the inspiration and guidance they can be (if we allow them) in our lives.
I didn't have a set style in mind, its just the way they emerged and I continue to see my style emerge and change. I wrote a special prayer that I pray to the Holy Spirit asking for guidance before I paint each painting. I also pray to the angels and saints that I create. I research online to compose the stories, so I learn so much in this process. Then there is the most fabulous part of this process that I really did not anticipate. It is "meeting" you the customers. Many of you have been kind enough to share some stories of the things that are going on in your lives and why you desire to have an image of a particular Saint. It is wonderful. I have started a special prayer journal for you and those in your life that need prayers. I also pray for each and every recipient of my images. What a blessing this is. So, I hope you know that when you purchase a painting from me, all that goes into it - most particularly that you are also receiving prayers along with the image and story. As they say PRICELESS!
