Your guests will be reeling (in a good way) from this punch! The recipe for Kill Devil Punch came to Food & Wine Magazine from Phil Ward, bartender at the aptly named Death & Co. It features a block of raspberry ice that melts, slowly releasing its juices (a.k.a. raspberry blood) into the bowl throughout the evening.
Ingredients
Raspberry Ice
- 12 ounces water
- 18 raspberries
Punch
- 9 ounces amber rum
- 6 ounces pineapple juice
- 5 ounces simple syrup
- 4 ounces fresh lime juice
- 5 ounces chilled champagne
- 12 raspberries
- 12 lime wheels
Directions
- Make the Raspberry Ice: Pour the water into a plastic container and arrange 12 raspberries in the container. Freeze for at least 6 hours.
- Make the Punch: In a pitcher, combine the rum, pineapple juice, simple syrup and lime juice and refrigerate until chilled, at least 1 hour.
- Stir the punch and strain it into a punch bowl. Add the raspberry-studded ice. Pour in the chilled champagne and stir once. Garnish the punch with the raspberries and lime wheels. Ladle into teacups or small rocks glasses.

I wish I could just sit back and have someone mix me up some really cool devil punch....or other Halloween specialty drinks. They always look so good, I just want someone else to make them for me!

This should balance out the kit kats, hershey bars, candy corn and snickers I'll be consuming quite nicely ! Yummo.

We make a similar drink to this every Christmas - it's perfect for summertime Christmases.
You steep crushed raspberries in a cup of gin for a few hours then strain it - you have a lovely fragrant pink gin.
Mix the gin with half a bottle of chilled hock-style wine (a dry white).
Add half a bottle of lemonade & half of sparkling mineral water.
Stir in a few shots of kirsch or raspberry liqueur.
Decorate with lime slices, fresh raspberries, & ice cubes with raspberries & mint leaves frozen in them.
It's very pretty & festive & tastes amazing - but it's very easy to drink way too much!

Yummy! I used to make vampire blood punch. 4 liters cherry soda, 4 liters Dr. P soda and one bottle vodka. Tastes great looks wicked. Float in some bug filled cubes and some plastic creepys.

Now I'm thirsty, and have no desire to go to that spammy website.
