Pets are a bone of contention for my family. My son, age 4, wants a dog TODAY. (A Rottweiler, to be exact — preferably one named Manny that sleeps under his bed.) My daughter, age 2, is very afraid of dogs. In fact, she’s still talking about the only time she worked up the courage to pet a dog.
So what pet did I find for my kids? This awesome rock star by HoneydewStudio. It's extinct, and therefore less scary for my daughter. It has flames on his skin, so it's cool enough for my son. Best of all, I don't have to get up early to walk Iggy.

We love dogs. They seem so much more friendly when they wear a tie.

That's so cute! And, a great way to pacify the kids without have to walk and FEED another mouth!! I know, because I have 5 dogs, 2 horses, a bunch of fish, and about 20 cats.....the good thing is, only the min-pin, Rocky (my alarm clock), and the fish, live inside the house. My 2 Rottweilers and 2 Chows are property patrol, the cats are my rodent control.....the horses are lawn mowers for now, until we get saddles for them.

Iggy is amazing, and I really like the part about not having to get up early to walk him. My dog's new wake-up and walk time is 5 a.m. and it's killing me!
