Join us in the Virtual Labs, Etsy's online meeting space, today, September 2 at 5 p.m. ET for a live (and wild) shopping event with Paste Magazine.  Rachael Maddux, Paste Magazine's Assistant Editor, will be hunting for Etsy's best animal-themed Etsy items, which will magically appear in the room for your shopping pleasure. The "Add to Cart" button will be hard to resist! Remember to get there early because there are only 150 seats!

Bossysfeltworks has the best felted animal figures I have seen. Their work is truly handmade from raising their own sheep, preparing the wool, to crafting their animals. They were invited to the Smithsonian Institution to sell their work at a folkart market last Spring (discovered on Etsy, I believe). I would like to see Etsy feature them in a Stork article.

WOW! Love Didelo. So many talented artists. I HAVE made a pledge. Perhaps I am repeating myself...but here it goes...When there is a special occasion that warrants a gift, wedding, baby shower, birthday, ( you get it right)? I am refusing to purchase from stores. I will find a provider from Etsy that fits the profile for whatever gift needs that a person requested .So far, it has worked beyond expectations, and just needs to be spread around a little bit. Everyone here is GREAT! If we were to all come together and simply apply this principal to gift purchases, think of the power that we could have. Think of what we may be able to become! Make my day Crafty Fly and CrafHedgehog! The Octopuss Chandelier and Knitting in Biology are giving me a big laugh and are touching at the same time. Great work!

I'm currently expanding my work from flora to fauna. It's just so difficult to take pictures from animals. They move all the time. So far I was only lucky one time catching a nectar suckling grasshopper. I turned him into a necklace http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?...
and he will soon be featured on a hip belt.

Now I'm using a trick: I got myself a entomolgical collection of beetles and butterflîes. They are easy to photograph - they don't move. I'm currently working on a whole collection of belts and phone cases featuring insects.
