In my book, few things beat the feeling of discovering a cutting edge design right before it breaks out into the crowd. Etsy provides a unique venue that houses a wealth of emerging artists. When shopping on Etsy, you have the rare opportunity to directly support the designer, free of the middle man. Each of the finds below comes from a fresh shop, which has either opened within the past six months or has few enough sales that they may have flown under your radar. Be sure to check them out now while the items are fresh and you can proclaim that you knew them when...

It must be so exciting for Etsy to be on the source of all these fresh new designers and artists. I sometimes forget how wonderful this community is and how easy it is for us to be part of it. And sometimes, when I find an amazing store I can't believe that it is all designed and handmade by one person. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

I would LOVE to see this as a weekly feature! I often see the SAME sellers featured on the front page and then storque and then quit your day job, etc. Great products yes, but let others break in! Keep promoting the newbies! =)
