Forest Green Ink
This ink has been made by Jenni in her studio in Dundee, Scotland and is designed for use with a dip pen for calligraphy. Each ink colour comes in a 15ml glass jar and has been tested using a Nikko G nib ( https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/688741073/set-of-3-nikko-g-nibs-modern-calligraphy?ref=listings_manager_grid ). The ink is suitable to use with other nibs.
Our inks are water based and ready to use when delivered. However, if your ink seems too thin for your nib, then you can let it sit out overnight with the lid off to allow some of the water to evaporate. Overtime, your ink will thicken, you can then add a couple of drops of water to bring it back to the desired consistency.
Always stir your ink before use and wipe round the edges of the jar when you are finished to stop the ink drying and the lid sticking. Metallic inks need to be stirred regularly during use.
This ink is for use with our practice sheets or Rhodia pads available at the links below. The inks will also work with good quality papers or envelopes. Calligraphy ink is likely to bleed on low quality printer papers.
