Welcome to Robin's Bobbins where I create bespoke, hand-sewn gifts for all occasions; I hope you enjoy my shop! All of my items are made to your choice of colour, fabric, size and personalisation. For extra peace of mind, all of my costumes are both CE and UKCA safety tested, designed with flexibility and ease of wear in mind, and are sewn to last.

All of my items are created with sustainability as a key focus. To minimise waste, my items are cut in the most ​economical way possible and any scraps are donated to local schools to use in craft and art activities. I care passionately about the environment and am proud that every product is wrapped in recyclable materials and compostable/brown paper mailbags.

Each year, I donate a portion of my products to a selection of local charities as chosen by my social media followers.

Delivery

NON-UK DELIVERY: Please note that I only ship to the following worldwide locations: Europe, US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Dubai and Hong Kong. I will refund orders to all other countries where I am unable to verify delivery viability.

💥 POSSIBLE POSTAL DELAYS💥: Please be aware that postal delays may occur. In the most severe cases, this can be up to 3 weeks in the UK and 6 weeks worldwide. Please note that, because of this, I am unable to guarantee arrival by a particular date.

EXPRESS DISPATCH EXPLAINED - Great for if you require your items quickly. Please note that this fee is for dispatching the parcel quickly and that shipping is still the standard service (Royal Mail first class delivery for UK orders and Royal Mail International Standard shipping (around 7 clear working days) for all international orders).

UK DELIVERY: Shipping is FREE for all UK orders! Where free shipping is the case, packages are sent via second class Royal Mail delivery. This service is untracked. Shipping upgrades to first class with an express dispatch option, and tracked shipping, are also available.

NON-UK DELIVERY: Shipping is FREE for all non-UK orders! Overseas are sent via Royal Mail Tracked and Signed Delivery which usually takes around 5-10 working days once your item is dispatched. This is a guide and can take longer during busier periods such as Halloween and Christmas (in rare cases up to 6 weeks). A shipping upgrade of Express Dispatch and Tracked is available. This service allows me to prioritise your order to dispatch your item in 1-3 working days as opposed to the standard lead time. Please note that this is an Express DISPATCH service, not express shipping; there is no faster international shipping service than the Royal Mail International Service currently used.

Please note that, as the postal service is out of my control, I am unable to guarantee delivery by an exact date. The estimated delivery date provided by Etsy is only an estimate and not a guaranteed arrival date.

Custom and personalised orders

I make every item just for you, to your requirements in fabric, colour, size and personalisation. Please contact me if you have any questions or suggestions and I will be happy to discuss your requirements with you.

Sizing details

All items are made bespoke. I have included sizing charts, where applicable, to assist with sizing.

Care instructions

Most of my items are recommended wipe clean/hand-washing only. Where items are machine washable I have tried to include this in the item details. However, if you have any specific care instructions regarding any of my items, please contact me.

All of my items are intended for occasional wear and are not intended for withstanding regular use such as costumes for business purposes.

Some fabrics used may malt a bit during their first few uses which is perfectly normal. This is particularly the case with my towels and glitter fabrics.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All of my items are wrapped in recycled red tissue paper and fastened with a plastic-free Robin's Bobbins sticker. Many customers comment on the beautifully-wrapped presentation of my items. If your item is intended for a gift, and you would like me to hand write a note, I would be happy to do so; just let me know!

Lost / Delayed Items

Sometimes postal delays do occur and, on the very rare occasion, parcels may go missing. The vast majority of the time missing parcels are simply held up in the postal system and do arrive in the end. Therefore, I ask UK residents to wait 3 weeks, and Overseas residents to wait 6 weeks from the date of dispatch, before contacting me for a replacement.
