Catwalk Aprons has an obsession on vintage and new aprons. Let's Have Fun.
Welcome...... Thank you for stopping by to view my collection of aprons.
My story begins with a memory of my beautiful mom wearing a pretty red netting apron, trimmed with gold rick rack. Wow. Every Christmas holiday she would gracefully entertain our family and friends. I was very lucky growing up, my grandma and granddad lived next door. My incredible grandmother canned everything under the sun. She wore a practical cotton apron canning and another bright green apron in the garden. She made me the cutest little blue and white apron with a clown face on the front with 3 pockets. And yes my mom and grandma would let me wear their aprons. The beginnings of my obsession on aprons. This shop is dedicated to my mom and grandma with tons of love and gratefulness.
I started collecting vintage aprons in the 1970's. In the year 2000, I was a beer tapsters at Port Townsend Brewing. I began wearing my collection. The customers were offering to buy the aprons off of me. I had an epiphany....no one was offering cute aprons. I started an apron company and was in over 200 stores. I also did the Saturday Market in Port Townsend for 2 years. So a lot of my aprons are out in the world. I sold the company and retired from the business. I could not help myself, I started collecting more vintage aprons . I opened an Etsy shop in 2008 but in 2016 I started to get a little more serious with Catwalk Aprons.
Most of my aprons are:
1. Vintage aprons that are in great condition
2. Vintage aprons fixed up or added onto. Up cycled.
3. Handmade apron with either recycled fabric, vintage or retro touches.
4. Vintage aprons with attached cotton lined halter. The attached halter, I use upcycled fabric. The lace or ribbons are either vintage or retro.
My desired goal is to craft and sew my aprons with care. And pass them on for a reasonable price. All of my aprons are 100% original.
