Sculptor by day-Jeweler/Artist by night
As a philosophy and art student in Europe I was able to support myself making simple wire jewelry. I eventually served two very formal and rigorous goldsmithing apprenticeships with world reknown luxury goods and fashion companies. Extensive world travel and endless visits to museums of Renaissance Antiquity served as constant sources of inspiration.
I recently became fascinated with the ecological and recycling beauty of sea glass and I'm now combining my Fine Arts and Sculpture background by carving unusual designs directly in the sea glass, shells, Wampum and in metals by the lost wax process. When I'm not in my studio, I teach Art, Spanish and English and am inspired by the creativity of others by working as an Expressive Arts Facilitator in schools, hospitals and community centers.
