Back in 1998 Michael and I (Debbie) decided to work towards our goal of owning our own family business and started selling our lever harps and hand-turned flutes. Michael is a journeyman woodworker and musician with a passion for building unique musical instruments, and when he asked me to sew him some Pocket Clarinet (Chalumeau) and flute bags I chose my favorite Pendleton® fabric and haven't stopped sewing!
In May of 2010, I was introduced to Etsy and immediately discovered a wonderful world of homegrown crafters and a support team that is unequaled. We now ship our harps, flutes, and Chalumeau's worldwide, as well as design and sew for many flute and whistle makers worldwide. We have expanded our line to include pipe bags music cases, totes, purses, and many other fun designs!
What started out as a hobby for both of us has now turned into a business that gives our family the independence and flexibility we desired, and has enabled us to spend the rest of our time growing organic food for our local markets. Many thanks to Etsy and our wonderful customers!
