All things bright and beautiful ...
Hi I am Yvonne and I hail from the friendly city of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Thank you for taking the time to visit my shop.
From as far back as I can remember I have nourished my flair for art and creating beautiful things, on a daily basis. My very first artistic creation and I remember it so clearly, was a really awesome looking mud pie, decorated with red berries and green leaves. I was fortunate to have an artistic father who encouraged my every effort and at the end of my first year of school, I won first prize for art.
Until a few years ago my art was always of the physical kind, I worked with fabric, wood, paint, leather, beads, paper, dye .... basically anything I could lay my hands on and use to create beautiful items to decorate my home or to sell at craft fairs.
One day while browsing the internet I came across a digital scrapbooking site that looked rather interesting and decided to join, very soon I was totally hooked! I bought the software they had on offer and started taking part in scrapping challenges. Having a very active imagination this soon became rather boring and I started to explore various other methods of using the software I had bought, drawing my own graphics as well as doing collages. Sometime later my neighbour introduced me to online selling and with much encouragement from her and my partner, I opened ScreechOwlStudio and here I am and loving every minute of it! :)
