OnDragonWingsStudio - happy, charming animal art for you!

Hi there and welcome to OnDragonWingsStudio!
I'm Shelly, and Emma and Connor are also playing around the studio.

You may wonder where that name came from? Well, although I have been a creative, artistic person forever, my first real sales were in custom animal portraits, and also creating origami sculptures in beautiful handmade papers.

Since my origami dragon was so popular, and since I adore both dragons and dragonflies, I decided that my art career might be able to "soar on dragon's wings" and the idea for the name was born. <smile>

I am also an animal rescuer, and an environmentalist. When my children came along, they grew up immersed in nature, surrounded by foster creatures, and they developed a love and empathy for the natural world and the amazing beings that it contains.

I am delighted (but not surprised!) that both Emma and Connor have grown up to be wonderful artists, and so happy that they are joining me here in the studio.

I hope that you like our vision! We play with various media as the mood strikes, including pen and ink, watercolour, acrylic and mixed media. And although we have different styles - we all like to share happy, compassionate, sometimes whimsical portraits of our animal friends!
