#RipItRipIt
I have a knack for finding good fibers. Until recently, I was always disappointed when I found sweaters with good quality natural fabric that weren't in my size. But then I learned yarn knows no sizes and will supply you with endless creations.
I started knitting in 2016 with a goal of knitting a cashmere scarf since I was tired of seeing two scenarios when shopping: cheaper cashmere scarves with knits that were thin and appeared ready to fall apart any moment with limited options or super expensive cashmere. That's it.
I went to my local yarn shop to look for cashmere, I was directed to their only two skeins in an ugly poop like color. They were 50$ each. I thought- how? Especially since I could find heavier sweaters in nicer colors for half the price if I really looked.
Recycled yarn is just as soft, just as good as brand new yarn. Consider recycling your own unworn sweaters or buying from a recycled yarn vendor instead of letting a sweater go into a landfill!
