RARE!
This stunning 1950s era document piece by Cohama is titled "Adams" and is part of their "An American Federalist Design" collection. If you decorate in the federal style, a la the James and Dolley Madison era, or with a nod to iconic Americana, this fabric will be a welcome addition to your collection. With nine yards available there's enough fabric here to cover two wingbacks, or a small settee, make curtains, cover a large ottoman, even use as a fabric wallpaper application for a statement-making wall.
Suited for spaces like the White House, and historic homes from the late 18th through the early 19th centuries, this document piece is based on extant examples. Featuring large lozenges with an eagle and seal in side capped by a demi lune of stars and flanked by undulating vertically striped garlands of flowers all set against a black background.
An enterprising upcycler could also cannibalize the eagle motifs to turn in to small pillows or ornaments that are perfect for the likes of the Daughters of the American Revolution!
