I used traditional woodworking tools to make this wood toy alligator in my Toymakers Shop. I made the toy alligator from unfinished wood, sanded it smooth, and made ready to paint. The alligator is free-standing and makes a great stacking or pretend toy combined with similar toys.

I make small animals from wood cutoffs I have left from other projects. Because of this, the thickness will vary but never be less than 1/2 inch. The type of wood and, thus, the color will vary.

These are also excellent for kids' crafts.
