The musical movement is an electronic music player and it's built in underneath the lid of the music box! You can send me the song of your choice with a youtube video and a link and I'll transform your song into music box version!
The box has a built in light sensor, so the music starts playing when you open it and it will play for about 1 and a half minute! When the song is over, it takes a little break and then it starts playing again! Or you can just close the lid and open it again! Beacuse of this light sensor, it needs direct light so you can't use it in a dark room!
It is battery operated!
The life cycle: plays 300 to 350 times on average
(replace 3 LR1130 batteries and unit will continue to play. No re-programming required)
But if you prefer to send it back to me for a battery change, I can do that for you, not a problem!
You can request any engravings on the top and even on the bottom of the box and you can pick the color as well just like my regular music boxes!

HOW TO ORDER:
- choose the amount you wish to purchase
- choose between the following:
- top engrave only (as pictured on image #1)
- w add'l bottom engrave
- choose a color (see pic 3)
- add to cart
- leave a note with your personalized message to the top (limit: 30 characters), your song choice and the additional carving to the bottom of the box (if you picked that option earlier) to the PERSONALIZATION section

PRODUCTION TIME:

I do have 3 different music box styles available. The small music boxes and large music jewelry boxes have mechanical (wind up) music box movements built in. For these 2 styles you can choose from more than 80 songs and they are listed in the Description section as well as there is an image with the list. The third kind of music box is a custom song music jewelry box style with a recordable built in music player and with this style you can choose any song and I will convert it for you to music box style. I have 2 different music box sizes available.
The small music boxes approximately measure:
(W x D x H): 3 in x 2 3/4 in x 1 3/4 in (7,6 cm x 7 cm x 4,5 cm)

The music jewelry boxes approximately measure:
(W x D x H): 5,5 in x 3,5 in x 2,5 in (14 cm x 8,8 cm x 7 cm)

I also have 2 different ring box sizes.
The small ones with no music inside measure:
(W x D x H): 2 5/8 in x 2 3/16 in x 1 5/8 in (6.7 cm x 5.6 cm x 4.1 cm)

The music ring boxes measure:
(W x D x H): 3 1/8 in x 2 3/4 in x 2 1/2 in (8 cm x 7 cm x 6.2 cm)

This option is only available for my small size music boxes. The sealed shut music boxes have the musical movement sealed inside, so you can't see it, while the open lid boxes have their lids that open so you can see the music box movement inside.

You should listen the open lid one with the lid open to have clear sounds and the open lid option is more popular than the sealed shut.
In my opinion the open lid is better since in case the musical movement breaks it's easy to replace.

The music box was even better than I expected it to be. I requested a song by sending. YouTube link and I figured it would just be an audio recording of the song but it was actually a music box-sounding rendition. I’m not sure how the company did that but it was really cool and my wife loved it.
