This hand made Honey Body Butter is made with whole and good for your skin ingredients. ‘Sweet Taste of Sunshine’ beeswax and their raw honey, argan oil, unrefined african shea butter, arrowroot powder, and vitamin E. No water, colors, chemicals, or preservatives. See below for more detail about each ingredient.

This body butter can be used on your face too but please read all the ingredients and decide if that will work for your facial skin. I use a small amount of my body butter on my face and I find it works for me. However, we are all unique and you know your skin best.

I use NOW brand essential oils and Fragrance Oils from CandleScience at a 2% dilution. 1-2% dilution is safe for skin for adults. Scented body butter is not recommended for babies or children. Fragrance oils are often infused with essential oils. CandleScience only uses phthalate free oils.

The scented body butter is a light scent and not meant to be or replace perfume. Read below to decide which fragrance will work for you.

Beechwood fragrance oil is a masculine scent. This refreshing fragrance has a sea salt and woodsy smell. Fragrant notes of this body butter are sea salt, orange peel, grass, eucalyptus, sage, and patchouli.

English Garden Fragrance Oil is a must for the floral lover with notes of Lily of the Valley, Rose, Jasmine, Lilac, Carnation, and Vanilla. This is a beautiful fragrance that smells like a garden in full bloom. This butter is made slightly under 2% dilution because it really is a strong floral fragrance.

Geranium Essential Oil is a subtly sweet floral.

Grapefruit Fragrance Oil for citrus lovers with notes of lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, and vanilla.

Lavender Essential Oil is a delicate earthy floral.

Lavender Essential Oil and Vanilla Fragrance Oil is a soft earthy floral of lavender with the warmth of vanilla. Vanilla fragrance oil has notes of buttercream, vanilla, cake, bourbon, and sugar.

Lilac Fragrance Oil is a soft floral of beautiful lilacs that has notes of green leaves, lily of the valley, and honeysuckle.

Unscented has a nutty earthy scent but that disappears when you put it on your skin. The earthy, nutty smell is because of the unrefined shea butter. We use unrefined shea butter because refined uses chemicals and you lose the skin benefits of shea butter.

This body butter is not made with any water. Did you know many commercially produced creams and butters are made with water? You are paying for water vs. quality ingredients to care for your skin. Take a look at a label next time you are considering a purchase. In addition, pay attention to the chemical ingredients too.

This body butter will soften if it is left out in the heat/humidity or direct sun. The shea butter and beeswax will help the body butter to remain intact. If it does get soft then simply let it cool at room temperature or place your body butter in the refrigerator. The body butter is kept refrigerated until it is ready to ship. The last picture of the lavender body butter jar on a dark grain wood table was taken by my mom. I was on the phone with her when she opened the shipping box and the jar. I shipped her a jar to NE to see how it would ship and I am happy to say that the picture shows that it shipped great! Yay! It is recommended to track your orders so your box of body butter does not sit outside for too long upon delivery. In addition, this body butter is not made with preservatives so please be careful not to expose it to water and moisture.

This body butter is handmade in small batches. The consistency of this body butter is like a thick cake frosting (see video). Don’t eat it! It is hand whipped with a mixer so sometimes the texture may be different because I may have whipped it an extra minute or two. The recipe is the same but because this is a handmade item there may be variation in texture between batches. A little body butter goes a long way and it will quickly absorb into your skin. Take a small amount on your finger and rub into your hands and apply it to your body. It is best to use after a shower/bath when your skin is moist. If you find that it feel greasy (it should not) then you applied too much. If you are new to body butters then try it in a small section to be sure it feels good for you.

Unrefined african shea butter. We use unrefined shea butter so you can get the full skin benefits. It is high in Vitamin A, E, and fatty acids. It has a nutty earthy smell that you can smell in the jar but you will not smell like a nut. It is important to know that refined shea butter may not have the nutty smell but that is because it is chemically processed and most of the goodness is then removed.

Beeswax. Helps the skin to attract and retain moisture. Seals in the moisture and protects against dryness. Softens skin. Has antiseptic properties. Has Vitamin A, which helps skin to regenerate. This ingredient helps to keep the butter from melting.

Raw Honey. Deeply moisturizes and hydrates the skin. Helps your skin to have a natural glow. It is a natural preservative with anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral properties.

Argan Oil. Moisturizes skin. Antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties. Anti sebum effects.

Arrowroot Powder. Helps the body butter to absorb more quickly into the skin.

Vitamin E. A powerful fat soluble antioxidant.

The glass jar and metal lid can be recycled.
