Map with a modern and refined design of the city of Brest on three levels, made with local materials with the precision of the laser cutting machine.
This map is made up of three overlapping levels:
- the main roads are represented on a first level, in poplar panel of French origin. They are sanded then I then apply an organic varnish as a finish,
- the second level represents the floors and the secondary road network, with the same type of finish, but a different natural wood shade,
- the third level represents water, in this case the harbor of Brest. This is a pre-lacquered steel panel in metallic blue.
The frame is black wood with hooks on the back panel.
The contrast between metallic blue and wood gives this card a particular aesthetic.
This map is designed by BoogieMaps, cut with a laser machine and assembled and processed in the BoogieMaps workshop.
It will make a superb gift or souvenir from Brest, the city of Ponant.

Excellent item quality and has a good craftsmanship appeal! The seller is very quick to respond and beyond helpful and accommodating. He includes a very easy to follow alignment guide and extra pieces to ensure the map is placed and spaced correctly. Personally, I think the map is best secured by only using the pegs and adhesive tape (as it is a fairly light piece). I used a laser level to make sure the “JAPAN” name was flat and level, and then used the included spaced pieces to place everything else. <5min task! Seller was also able to tint the wood to my specification of “walnut”. Everything shipped safely and soundly from France to US. Highly recommended!
