Hunting Jewelry Antlered Buck Deer Skull Necklace.

The buck deer skull jewelry was made using a CT scan of a real skull that was then transformed into a pendant using 3D printing and lost wax casting.

This method of converting CT scans into 3D models helps retain the intricate details of the animal skull producing a stunning replica.

The pendant comes with a matching chain.

How 3D printing works:

3D Printed Sterling Silver, Brass and Bronze designs are made using a three-step process. The designs are created with a lost-wax casting process. The first step is to make a wax model using a high-resolution 3D wax printer. Then, the 3D printed wax model is put in a container and liquid plaster is poured around it to create a mold. After the plaster sets, the wax is melted out and molten metal (such as sterling silver) is poured into the plaster mold. The plaster is then pulled away to reveal the silver and the finished product is polished for a smooth surface.

3D printing in Stainless Steel is an entirely different process! To build steel models, special 3D printers deposit small drops of glue onto layers of stainless steel powder, that are built up, one layer at a time, until the print is complete. We carefully remove these models from the printer. At this stage of the process, the objects are very fragile, similar to wet sand. The models then go through an infusion process that replaces the glue with bronze, creating a full metal product. Models are then polished and sprayed with a sealant.
