"Frida with Pet Monkey" is a detailed portrait of the famous Mexican artist and icon created by hand using a fine black pen by myself. It was then meticulously cleaned up in Photoshop to give you a beautiful line drawing to enjoy colouring in. I was inspired by tattoo style Frida portraits and Tiki idols to create something entirely new in my own style, and I hope you enjoy colouring this picture as much as I enjoyed creating it! Colouring is a great way to relax and be creative.
You are welcome to print "Frida with Pet Monkey" as many times as you would like for personal use and I'd love to see what you do with the piece: why not print on different weights of paper and experiment with different types of coloured pencils and coloured pens until you get the best effects? Maybe you can give your favourite versions away as gifts.
In 2015 I published Amelia's Colourful Colouring Companion, a unique limited edition collaborative colouring book (available from Etsy) featuring 44 artists from around the world. I created one piece of artwork for the book and enjoyed it so much that I am now creating my own series of colouring pages. This particular piece was created for the #find50fridas exhibition in London, held during March 2016 in celebration of Women's History Month. I coloured my Frida blue in honour of Tretchikoff, but you could colour her however you want!

"Frida with Pet Monkey" is a high-resolution PDF file, sized at 300 dpi. It can be printed at home or at any office supply or printing shop. I recommend printing with a laser printer to prevent smudging, on white card stock or heavy weight art paper so that you can use a wide range of colouring materials without worry of bleed through. Choose which file to print according to whether you want to print on US letter paper or A4 Size paper. Print at the highest quality printer setting, print at 100%, and do not scale down.
