In China, the sea turtle represents wisdom. In Hawaii, the sea turtle is thought to protect children. The sea turtle features in the creation stories of many Native American coastal tribes. As a symbol of strength, endurance, and long life, sea turtles remind us to slow down, take our time, be aware of our surroundings.

For these earrings, I used silver earwires, green Swarovski pearls and turquoise Swarovski crystals, and artisan lampwork beads. Each sea turtle bead is 15mm x 15mm and depicts a turtle swimming in blue water and swirling waves. (The design is the same on both sides.)
