Original handmade moku hanga(Japanese woodblock) print of Golden-crowned Kinglets. Hand printed on Nishinouchi paper using Holbein Artist's Gouache. Image is about 6x8 inches and entire print with border is 8x10 inches. Total edition is 20, with ten being for sale here. There are now just two left!

I am happy to say that this was part of the Sumi-Fusion Exhibition at the International Moku Hanga Conference in Nara, Japan in late November/early December 2021! It also was exhibited at “The Natural Eye,’ the annual exhibition of the Society of Wildlife Artists in London, UK.

This is a second version of the same print done in late 2019 on Shin Torinoko paper. However the colors of both paper and paint are a bit different so you might want to look at both before purchasing.

Both were based on drawings I did a number of years ago of some hyperactive Golden-crowned Kinglets. They are hand printed using watered down gouache paint in the traditional method of Japanese woodblock prints.
