This navy blue wooden pickup truck is handmade one at a time in my Tallahassee, Florida workshop using traditional woodworking tools. It is part of my Play Pal Collection, a group of small wooden cars and trucks made in approximately the same scale for imaginative play.

I paint the truck body with navy blue acrylic paint. Natural wood wheels finished with shellac contrast with the dark blue body, and I paint the axle hubs metallic sapphire blue.

I sand the wooden axles smooth and place nylon washers between the wheels and truck body. The washers keep the wheels from rubbing directly against the body and help them roll freely.

Custom Orders

Need something different? I welcome custom orders for different colors, quantities, wood species, and sizes. I have also made larger versions of this pickup truck for custom orders.

The standard truck is approximately 3-1/2 inches long × 1-3/8 inches high × 1-1/2 inches wide. If you would like a larger truck, contact me with the approximate length you want. I can scale the pattern to make a larger version and let you know what is practical before you order.

I also make multiples for custom orders. Contact me if you need several trucks for gifts, a special project, or another purpose.

The wheels and other components are permanently attached during assembly.
