This is a beautiful antique illustration of Purple Lilacs and Bees, from the 1902 book, Stories of Woods and Fields. The drawing is excellently done, and the colors are superb. The line at the bottom says, "The Lilac tossed a purple plume."
I scanned this antique print from my own copy of the book, which is now within the public domain.
