I have been drawing and making for as long as I can remember. I trained as a graphic designer and printmaker and have always loved bold colour, pattern and texture. Now I live and work in the Australian bush outside the lovely town of Braidwood, NSW.
Making things has always been an essential part of life for me. There are so many distractions in life – by no means all bad – and creative work so often gets nudged to the bottom of the to-do list. Nothing makes me happier than picking up a pencil or a carving tool and getting lost in the creative flow.
Bursaria Workshop began as a way to bring my designs to life in a range of thoughtfully made, environmentally responsible textile products. Bursaria Workshop is committed to using only organic or up-cycled fabrics, recycled fill material and water based inks. The idea of 'buying less but buying better' aligns closely with the Bursaria Workshop philosophy – made by hand, made locally and made with a conscience.
