Quality Handmade Candles and Soaps since 2003
A lifelong candle fan, I poured my first candles when I was about 13 years old in my parents' basement using paraffin, which was the only wax available at the time. I was immediately hooked! As an adult, I was disappointed with how most commercially-made candles burned poorly and failed to scent my home. So I decided to try my hand at making candles that would scent the room and not leave a huge rind of wasted wax clinging to the jar. Success! When vegetable waxes such as soy were introduced, I just HAD to try those as well! Having conquered the tricky soy candle beast, I wanted to move on to the challenge of making my own soaps so I could control what went into them and how they smelled. The marriage of art and science that is modern soapmaking still fascinates me to this day. In the evenings when it's time to get off my feet and relax, I love to knit, crochet, and sew. All items in my studio are handcrafted by me, AJ, and my peach of a husband, Ron. We make everything right here in our smoke-free, country home in the heart of the U.S. We love what we do and have a passion for fragrance!
