Lover of patterns, bold lines and sharpie markers
We often use decor to set a specific mood, or to express our personality. We can also use decor to convey a particular message and theme. The right decor can help shape the spaces around us, whether it be our home or the workplace, these spaces should feel supportive and inspiring 🙌🏾.
One reason I create and sell art, is to help people enhance their lives by transforming the spaces around them with beautiful, meaningful and affordable art. Whether you recognize it or not, art can have a huge impact on your mood and emotions: making you feel 😊 happier, calmer or even inspired 😃.
Another reason I’m an entrepreneurial artist, is to inspire black people to be more creative, soulfully conscious and deeply connected to themselves, others and the divine. I am unapologetically intentional about the art I create 😎. Although anyone can appreciate my art, much of my artwork convey visual messages about black female empowerment, love, music, social justice, mindfulness and other significant experiences within the African diaspora Illustrating representations of blackness ✊🏽, and making these representations accessible to more people, is my ultimate why 👊🏽..
Since 2007, I’ve created over 40 commissioned pieces and participated in more than 50 artist showcases in Washington DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia. I’ve been featured in 5 publications and authored two books “Kinks, Perms and Afros: A Coloring Book Celebrating Black Women’s Hair" and "NaMaSoul Sistah: A Yoga Coloring Journal."
Blessings & Gratitude,
Andrea
