Anaequi: My Vision of Art
𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶: 𝗠𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁 - 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻
Art, for me, is a way to create atmosphere—to bring depth, balance, and emotion into a space. I didn’t start as an artist. I had no formal training, no backing, no certainty—only a vision and the willingness to take a risk. Anaequi was born from this leap into the unknown, a project that I built entirely on my own, from the ground up. With the need to create something that felt truly mine: a project where I shape my vision into refined, timeless artworks.
My work is influenced by the philosophies of Wabi-Sabi and Japandi—two aesthetics that, in their nuances, can sometimes feel in contrast with one another. Wabi-Sabi embraces imperfection, the organic passage of time, and the beauty of the unfinished.
Japandi, on the other hand, seeks structured harmony, minimalism, and intentionality. In my pieces, I explore the intersection of these ideas: the raw meets the refined, the imperfect meets the balanced. This tension, this dialogue between order and spontaneity, is at the heart of what I create.
At the same time, I draw deep inspiration from abstract and minimalist art, as well as the ever-changing beauty of nature. Growing up in Naples, I have always been captivated by the vastness of the sea, the poetic stillness of landscapes, and the fleeting magic of sunsets. These elements find their way into my work—not as direct representations, but as sensations, moods, and harmonies of color and form.
𝗠𝘆 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀
Each artwork begins as an experiment—an exploration of textures, light, and composition. I use digital tools not as a shortcut, but as a way to push boundaries, refining every detail with precision while maintaining the organic, tactile qualities of traditional media. Layer by layer, I manipulate forms, soften edges, and embrace subtle imperfections to create something that feels both deliberate and instinctive.
I don’t seek perfection, but presence. My goal is to craft pieces that feel calm yet expressive, minimalist yet full of depth, capable of subtly transforming the energy of a space.
