My Mom died at Lahey Hospital. The staff was beyond caring. Knowing that she was nearing the end, they even hired a harpist to play for her in her room. When I asked who paid for such extraordinary service, they told me it was from donations.

After she died, I set up a memorial fund in her name. After clearing out her home, I decided to put some things on Etsy. I wanted to share her beautiful treasures with others and we donated some of the profit back to the hospital to help others. That included taxis to the hospital, getting a nurse in the home and many other end of life needed services. Lahey, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, invited me to be a member of their Women's Leadership Council.

The shop grew. The English bone china was the most popular. I became immersed in the histories of the companies. We carry the most popular and valuable brands.
