Hi, I'm Maki! I'm a crochet designer based in Czechia, and I create patterns for clothes you actually want to be seen in. Pieces that feel polished, elegant, and put-together.
I started Artsy Maki because I wanted to slow down fashion. Every pattern I design begins with a simple question: would I wear this out to dinner, to work, to meet friends? If the answer isn't yes, I go back to the drawing board.
My design process is hands-on from start to finish. I sketch, swatch, frog, re-swatch, and build each piece stitch by stitch until the fit and drape feel right. Then every pattern goes through testing with real crocheters of different skill levels and body types before it ever hits my shop. When you buy an Artsy Maki pattern, you're getting something that's been made and remade until it works.
Most of my patterns are intermediate level, but I'm working on making more beginner-friendly designs too. Each PDF includes written instructions, size charts, and everything you need to get started.
