I’m Mel, a New York City based photographer, retoucher, and watercolor artist who builds color stories inspired by life in and around the ocean. When I’m not shooting campaigns or exploring reefs in Bonaire (my happy place), I’m in the studio translating that underwater calm into elevated home décor.
bzbuzzbee started with a simple frustration. I wanted coastal pieces that felt refined and design-led, not kitschy or cliché. So I began creating my own original watercolor patterns and turning them into premium, gift-worthy pieces that bring light, color, and intention into a space.
