Babi James was founded and established by Nikki Serafini, a nineteen year old from the greater Pittsburgh area. Having a mother that has been excelling in the business of bead work since 1995, she has been surrounded by the jewelry-world since birth. In the year of 2015, Nikki decided to branch off into her own idea of vintage-couture jewelry that can be wearable by all. Inspiration was and continues to be found through the beauty of nature, rustic surroundings, with an old-world vintage charm. This style is eclectic with many different settings whether it be formal or casual.
The name "Babi James" was derived from the Serafini's French Bulldog, Trevor James. Trevor has always carried an heir about himself since he was a puppy. His 'frenchie' personality keeps people wondering if he was royalty as he points his back paws when standing, and may even grace you with an eye roll. Trevor's sense of "style" had inspired Nikki from day one to name her couture brand after her boy. She hopes to make each piece as individual as her own Trevor James.
