About Bagtastique…..
It all started when my family moved from England to Holland, and later to Arizona.
While living in Holland, bringing your own shopping bags wasn't unusual—it was simply part of everyday life. Plastic bags weren't handed out freely, so people used sturdy bags over and over again. It made sense, and I grew to appreciate that way of living.
Then one day in Arizona, I stopped at the supermarket for a few essentials: bread, eggs, fruit, and vegetables. When I reached my car, I counted 17 plastic bags for less than $30 worth of groceries. Some bags contained only a single item.
I thought “there has to be a better way.”
I've always preferred things that are made to last. I enjoy sewing, creating practical items, and finding ways to reduce waste without using plastics and throw away packaging.
So I dusted off my sewing machine and made a few reusable shopping bags for myself. Friends started asking where I'd bought them, then asked if I could make some for them too. Before long, Bagtastique was born.
Today, my shop has grown beyond grocery bags to include reusable gift bags, Christmas sacks, storage solutions, bunting, and other fabric creations.
While the products have evolved, the idea behind them remains the same:
Create beautiful, practical fabric items that can be used, loved, and reused for years to come.
Every item is handmade by me with durability in mind. I believe that well-made things should last, become part of family traditions, and help reduce waste along the way.
Thank you for supporting handmade and for being part of my journey.
