graphic designer turned calligrapher
I've always loved... ok been obsessed.. with lettering. Fonts, calligraphy, handwriting, everything about it. I majored in graphic design in school, and always turned to typography as my focus. The obsession continued after college, Handwriting books, pinterest boards, the works.
When it came time for me to get married I decided to do all my own calligraphy for my invitations, place cards and signs. I was still learning my own style but I loved non-traditional, fun calligraphy as opposed to the fancy-shmancy kind.
After that I decided to run with it. In late 2014 I revived a tired etsy shop I had opened previously and added some of my wedding photos as my listing pictures. Since then the business has slowly grown and grown until I finally quit my day job in August 2015 and devoted my energy to my calligraphy!
Now I work from home surrounded by pretty paper and beautiful pens and lots of inspiration. With my sweet dog Maddie at my feet I work on special touches for beautiful brides around the world, and I love every minute of it!
