When I fell in love with clay, I fell hard! After years working in the tech industry I started looking for a hobby away from screens. A new pottery studio opened near me and after one wheel throwing course I was hooked. There is nothing quite like seeing an elegant shape take form from a ball of mud.

I loved wheel throwing as a beginner because I could let the clay guide me, and follow its lead to a final form. As my skill grew and I could achieve any shape I planned, my work turned toward altering those thrown pieces into unique, organic forms. Bending, stretching, and carving my pieces kept alive the organic and unpredictable element that I fell in love with. My pieces now all lean into that unpredictability, whether in form or glaze, or both.

Everything in my shop is handmade by me from start to finish in my backyard studio. I hope they bring you as much joy on your table, you shelf, or in your hand, and they have brought me in making them.
