5 out of 5 starsI am very impressed by the quality of how these are put together. My first bucket arrived and within eight days it started to pin….. and now it’s flushing on both sides of the bucket. It looks like they are gonna peep out a few of the other spots too. This is I believe day 11.. I have absolutely been very meticulous to keep them humidified. This mesh dome is perfect and I have two natural terra-cotta humidifiers and a tiny USB fan….. so they are getting all the air and all the humidity that they need. I missed them a couple times a day before and after I leave for work. Just wanted to explain that because it is very important if you want to get a good harvest. I have made my own mushroom blocks in the past and grown them before I think this shop is doing an amazing thing with the reusable buckets. So glad I found this shop!

What is the shelf life of a Mushroom Bucket Grow Kit?
The mycelium inside your mushroom bucket is a living organism that is ready to fruit when it arrives. We recommend that you follow the fruiting instructions provided upon receipt. If you need to wait, store your bucket in a cool, dry place or in a refrigerator for up to four weeks. Pink oysters are a warm-weather mushroom variety and cannot tolerate temperatures below 40 degrees. Do not refrigerate pink oyster mushrooms!
All of the mushroom varieties are vigorous and so even in storage, they may start pushing their way out of the bucket through the filter patches. It's not an issue for concern, but if your bucket is that ready to go, it's best to move it into fruiting conditions.
How can I tell if there is something wrong with my mushroom bucket?
Inspect your bucket upon arrival. If you notice any strange colors such as green or black or foul smells please take pictures and get in touch. A healthy bucket should have white or off-white mycelium on brown substrate and have a pleasant earthy smell. Sometimes the mycelium produces a orange, yellow, or reddish metabolite substance. This is generally not a cause for concern. If you are unsure take a picture and contact us.
If the bucket is open and substrate has spilled inside the packaging, you may still have a successful grow as long as the spillage is minimal and the substrate has not dried out. Replace the bucket lid and give the bucket some extra time (about a week) for the mycelium to reconsolidate before attempting to fruit.
