Turn Your Greeting Cards, Artwork, and Photos into Books.
In May 2024, Abi and I got married, and we were lucky enough to receive so many beautiful cards filled with heartfelt messages from family and friends. As time passed and the excitement of our wedding settled, those cards were carefully packed away in a box, rarely to be looked at again. I wanted a way to keep those special words close, so I came up with the idea of digitising our cards and having them printed into a beautiful book — preserving those memories forever.
After enjoying the book for a few months, I realised that many others must feel the same way about their cards from other special occasions — engagements, birthdays, new babies, and more. So, in the new year, we decided to take the idea online and offer the service to others under the business name Cards To Books. The response was incredible, and what began as a personal project quickly grew into a meaningful way for people to preserve their own cherished memories as lasting keepsakes.
Since February 2025, we have digitally captured thousands of cards, designed hundreds of covers, and created books for many couples and families just like ourselves.
Following the huge success of 2025, in January 2026 we expanded our range to include Children’s Art Books and Photo Books. As we grew, we felt the need for a name that was as unique as the books we create — each one bespoke, personal, and crafted entirely for our customers — and so Silk Giraffe was born. A name that reflects our mission of creating beautiful, thoughtfully made books that honour your story, preserving wedding wishes, childhood artwork, treasured photographs and heartfelt messages in a way that feels both meaningful and lasting. Because no two memories are the same, no two Silk Giraffe books are ever the same — each one carefully designed and lovingly bound to become a keepsake you will cherish for years to come.
