How I Became an Entrepreneur
From a young age, I loved to draw and paint, finding solace in creativity amidst the playful chaos of my six brothers and one wonderful sister. My two older brothers loved to tease and chase me, so I often hid away, drawing, reading, or sewing—anything to escape their antics. Art became my refuge, a quiet corner where I could express myself.
As I grew up, I discovered a natural talent for teaching and earned a degree in Special Education. I loved sharing ideas and projects with others. When my family moved to a new community, I became involved with my children’s Fun Fair, leading a craft group and teaching a group of ladies weekly projects to sell at the school's Gift Store. The light bulb went on: I could teach and sell my work!
With a supportive family and a background in the business world—thanks to my parents, who owned a restaurant—I launched my art business in 1984. Over the years, it has evolved into Carole’s Studio, where I continue to create and inspire. My art business has been a lifelong journey, driven by passion, creativity, and the joy of sharing my work with others. Thank you for being a part of this journey.
