Originally bought a Cemal Toy painting about 10 years ago in Turkey . When we saw his paintings on Etsy couldn’t resist buying one. We love the style and vibrant colours, reminds us of our holidays in Turkey. It took 4 days to reach is in the UK from Istanbul, very impressed. .Packaged really well.

Cemal Toy

Born in Kutahya, Turkey, Cemal Toy graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Mimar Sinan University, Istanbul in 1991. His first private exhibition was held the following December at The State Fine Arts Gallery in Istanbul.

Cemal Toy is influenced by the classical Turkish miniatures of the Ottoman period and the emotions and personal experiences woven into traditional Turkish carpet designs. He incorporates them into his art with his own contemporary twist. He enjoys using a variety of mediums including acrylic painting and watercolor painting on parchment.

Currently based in Istanbul, Cemal Toy continues to paint and to share his passion for art by teaching.
