My art business began with "the beat" in 2016. I took what used to be an anonymous poetry account of mine and turned it into a public art business, which eventually inspired me to open up my Etsy shop.
In 2021, I decided to rebrand after I felt like I had outgrown what "the beat" used to mean to me. "Luna" represents my name, Chanda, which means moon. "Meraki" is a Greek word that doesn't have an English translation, but it means to do something with love, soul, and creativity; to put something of yourself into your work. My art has always felt extremely personal, raw, real, vulnerable, and honest, so this felt like the perfect word to translate that onto paper.
I hope you find that my art inspires you. My desire is to give hope, inspiration, and validation through my art, so that it lives on through other people. I hope it makes you feel something, gives you a purposeful reminder, helps you to set intentions, or even helps you to love and understand yourself more.
My love for words is often in competition with my love for other forms of art too, so I hope by this rebranding, I can allow myself to experiment more and continually create in adventurous and authentic ways. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me.
