How can an original designer's shop achieve sustained and better growth?
The creative world is changing faster than ever. With the rise of AI-generated artwork, Etsy and other creative marketplaces have become filled with an incredible amount of new content—often produced quickly and offered at very low prices.
At first, I was honestly surprised by how quickly everything changed.
But after stepping back and thinking about it, I realized something important: I don’t need to compete by becoming someone else. I simply need to keep becoming a better version of myself as a designer.
I’ve been creating original artwork for many years, and my love for drawing and design hasn’t changed. If anything, all these changes have reminded me why I started creating in the first place.
I still believe in the value of original ideas, personal creativity, and a designer’s own artistic voice. My hand-drawn artwork continues to be created through my own design process, using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Wilcom for my embroidery work.
At the same time, I’m not afraid of learning new things. Technology will continue to evolve, and I want to evolve with it. I’m always exploring new techniques, improving my workflow, and finding better ways to turn my ideas into designs that are useful, joyful, and meaningful for other creators.
For me, originality doesn’t mean refusing to change.
It means using new tools while staying true to your own creative voice.
That is the direction I want to take CherrycraftyArt in the years ahead: continuing to create original designs, continuing to learn, and continuing to grow this little independent designer-run shop one idea at a time.
