Jewellery carries our most intimate memories like echoes of everlasting moments, feelings of happiness or the presence of our loved ones.
I believe every single piece of jewellery should be unique.

I was born in Australia with a European heritage of Austrian and Hungarian. I am drawn to romance and tragedy that goes hand in hand as part of European history and culture, which has influenced my style of design in many different ways.

I started collecting jewellery as a child through second hand stores and garage sales, mostly vintage crystal necklaces and brooches. I was attracted to their allure and sparkle. I was also touched by the stories that came with each piece as the owners reminisced about how it got to be in their possession. This struck a chord in me and I wanted to continue their stories by giving the jewellery a new lease of life where they can once again can be appreciated.

I was first introduced to gemstones by coming across a small lapidary club sale on the side of the road with my parents. It was then that I decided that I was going to create my own jewellery. I started making beaded jewellery since I was twelve years old. With my mother’s help I sold them through school and at local markets. When I finished high school I went on to study Jewellery and Object Design at Design Center Enmore in Sydney.

I make bespoke jewellery that has been inspired by nature, whether it be organic materials used in my work or the forms found within nature. I am also motivated to make my designs sustainable so I like to incorporate broken or pre-loved vintage jewellery pieces into my new creations to make them relevant again.

I have learnt how to apply gold smithing skills to my practice where I can incorporate precious metals and gemstones. Gemstones lend themselves to the idea of individuality and possess different meanings to everyone. I like to carefully select and handpick each gemstone I use in my jewellery and create a piece inspired by it. I use a variety of techniques in my jewellery making including traditional silver smithing techniques, beading and CAD.

As a designer and artist, I am also inspired by forms and patterns found in nature. I incorporate both organic handmade and carefully calculated CAD design for accuracy to create my forms. My contemporary jewellery creations analyse the relationships between science, maths and the seemingly chaotic natural world.
