4 out of 5 starsExplaining my 4 star rating: First of all, this is a great design idea. I have a Janome MC 550 and have been machine embroidering for years. I’ve tried several methods but have yet to achieve the clean cut seam detail seen on your site’s design. Mine was embroidered on a sweatshirt. Perhaps a lighter weight top might have solved the problem. Also, the whiskers are sewn first in the same frame as the finishing satin stitch. It leaves an obvious sewn over look. I’ll be able to correct that with future use but just a heads up. If possible, the satin stitch would have looked and covered the appliqué fabric better if it were a bit wider.
