Hi Susan. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me a review. Sadly, unless eye pillows have a strap that goes around your head, most aren't designed for side sleeping. These ones are designed for meditation and relaxation before you fall asleep or during the day. Rather than being used for side sleeping. I hope you are still able to use it for relaxation though before you turn on your side as it will definitely help you relax and have a more restful sleep. All the best, Sarah.
