Steel is measured in GAUGES. It's a little confusing because the LOWER the gauge means the THICKER the steel is. We use 14 gauge only, 16 gauge is slightly thinner, not nearly as strong for monograms that have had so much material cut away. 18 gauge is even thinner still, extremely flimsy in ANY use of home decor, ESPECIALLY in monograms. Even tho steel prices have literally tripled since 2020, we will NOT go to a thinner gauge steel simply to save money. We refuse to make that sacrifice of quality and strength as some in our industry are doing. We are veteran owned and operated and damn proud of it. The owner is here usually more than two people combined working sometimes thru a full day, the night, and the following day.....hey, people say Marines are tough....never were accused of being the brightest. He simply feels a dedication and a responsibility to his clients and his co-workers (never called employees) to get the job done that he's promised, as fast as possible, and as close to perfect as can be achieved.
