I just ordered this beautiful necklace for my mom for Christmas! Dusky responded right away and said she mailed me the necklace. Also, she included a genuinely nice handwritten note with the necklace. I am so excited to give it to my mom in a month! I have had a Tiger eye type necklace for probably a decade now that Dusky made and my mom bought for me years ago, and I can’t wait to show her this gorgeous new piece :)

This exquisite necklace is even more beautiful in person than in the picture! The workmanship in this piece is wonderful, and the colors are deep and vibrant. I had been admiring pictures of Dusky's art over the course of several years, so I was quite excited when I discovered that she had come to Etsy so that her pieces are now available for purchase by people who do not live near her! I am amazed that artisan jewelry of such high quality is available at this price!

Artisan jewelry handmade in Tucson, Arizona.

Much of my jewelry merges the ancient techniques of metalsmithing and contemporary innovations in glass fusing. In my work I draw upon the depth and color of glass and the form and structure of metal. I deeply-layer my glass, firing it in the kiln many times to smooth and finish it perfectly. The colors and textures of the glass I create inspire my original design for the silver that will overlay it. Most pieces feature images from nature, as complex as an oak tree or as simple as a wave, translated into silver designs. I completely hand-fabricate all of my metal using traditional silversmithing techniques and then bezel-mount the silver on the fused glass background to create an organic whole. Each piece is one-of-a-kind.
