We appreciate your time and we wanted to give you a glimpse of how our company was founded.
Our story began in search of an affordable but also high-quality leather Apple watch band. Whether it was the feel of the leather, the leather color, or the stitching style, we weren’t able to find a product that could be customized to our liking. This is when we decided to try and make our own leather watch bands. With doing extensive leather research and learning from our mistakes we came up with styles and crafting techniques that we both loved. In November of 2017, we opened our own Etsy shop. We decided to name our shop “Designs By Harubin” because we wanted to make a personal connection with our future customers, and we also wanted to be able to venture into other products besides leather. Shortly, after setting up our Etsy shop, we began designing and creating new products that we could sell including keychains, wristlets, cord organizers, bookmarks, wallets, belts, and hand poured soy candles. While creating and growing our business we were both going to college full time at Cleveland State University. After graduating in the spring of 2019 with bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and minors in Finance for Nick, and minor in Marketing for Danielle, we decided to put our efforts into expanding Designs By Harubin and improving our creative techniques. We are excited to see where our business takes us in the future and are greatly appreciative of our thousands of customers.
**Returns and Exchanges:**
-We do accept returns and exchanges, if contacted within 7 days and the item(s) sent back to us within 14 days (as stated in our shop policies). Although, personalized or custom items cannot be returned or exchanged. If there is any questions or issues with your item(s) please let us know and we will try to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We do not cover shipping cost for items that are sent back to us and we do not refund the initial shipping cost (if there was any on your order).
-We do not typically accept cancellations (as stated in our shop policies) because orders are usually handcrafted the same day you place your order. If your order has been made and you then want to cancel your order we reserve the right to charge a 5% restocking fee.
**International Orders:**
As stated in our shop policies: Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes and/or charges that may apply to your specific location. We are not responsible for delays due to customs.
-We take pride in our customer service and want to make your shopping experience simple and enjoyable. Please message us with any questions or concerns you may have regarding our products; we are always happy to help and will respond to you as soon as possible.
-If you have any questions or issues with any item(s) that you have purchased/received please contact us and we will try to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
We take pride in handcrafting each product in order to ensure the highest quality possible is achieved for our customers. All of our products are made by us in Cleveland, Ohio and we always use Full-Grain Leather and high-quality materials to produce durable and long-lasting products that our customers can appreciate and enjoy for years to come. All of our products are hand-cut, hand-stitched, and assembled by hand. Most of our products are finished off with hand-burnishing using Gum Tragacanth (which is a natural burnishing agent) to create a smooth and durable edge by laying down the leather fibers.
These high-quality leathers that we offer can slightly change color (darken or lighten in different areas) over time as they are used and broken in, which will leave the leather with character and a beautiful patina.
