Traditional Art of Myth, Magic, Folklore and Nature by Michelle Maiden
I am an English artist & illustrator whose original art and prints have been collected worldwide for nearly 20 years. My inspiration flows from mythology, folklore, ancient cultures, archaeology, shamanic and mystical traditions, the forms and forces of nature, and my own imagination. Working with a versatile range of media, styles and themes has resulted in an often diverse and unusual creative output. This has combined with my years of artistic experience to produce a growing body of polished, thoughtful and original work, in conjunction with experimental, playful or pretty images I often just create for relaxation and self-expression. My artwork has been used for book, magazine and CD covers; card games; tattoo designs; article illustrations; event posters; as well as on various merchandise. I previously studied both Archaeology and Illustration degrees.
You are welcome to display my art online if it is used respectfully, remains unaltered and uncropped, clearly credits me and provides a link back to this shop. To use my art in printed magazines, books, album art, etc please obtain written consent first.
I am working towards making my business as kind to the environment as possible. To this end I'm slowly swapping out various packaging elements as I find more eco-friendly alternatives and as the older ones run out, so as not to waste anything. Eventually I hope to have all packaging either recyclable or compostable.
